Q : Does GMDC provide transport facilities to students from other Emirates?
A : GMDC currently offers transport facility to the students staying in Sharjah.
Q : Can Sharjah visa holders learn at GMDC?
A : No. Only visa holders from the Emirate of Dubai can learn driving from GMDC and obtain their license.
Q : What will happen if I stop my training midway and start after a few months?
A : If for any reason, you are forced to stop your training, you can still resume if you join within six months from the date you stop your training.
Q : Can I obtain both, a Learner License and Driving Licence from GMDC?
A : Yes you can. The Dubai Traffic Police operates a branch at the GMDC site from where they issue both licenses to students.
Q : Does GMDC offer training for the Home Service Package for ladies?
A : GMDC offers this optional package to ladies if they don't mind being trained y male driving instructors. GMDC will pick up lady students from their office or home, train them in their neighbourhood and drop them back, all at no cost.

Q: Will a license from another country help me?
A: YES, it will be reduction in number of training classes to only 20. This reduction is only applicable if the applicant has valid driving license from his/her respective country having date of issue within 2 years time from current date.
Q: Can a female student get a male instructor?
A: If a female student requests/requires a male instructor, she will have to get NOC from police. If that instructor is later on changed, another NOC from police is required. Each NOC is changed at AED 20/-
Q: Does GMDC offer Defensive Driving, Desert Driving and other courses?
A: GMDC offers a range of many other driving courses including Defensive Driving and Desert Driving. You may call up the office for more details or to request a comprehensive brochure with all the listings.
